Visual senior Isabella Pezzulo placed first in the Art category at The Palm Beach Post Pathfinder award ceremony and received $4,000 in scholarships, and keyboard senior Michael Dinh placed third in the Mathematics category and received $2,500 in scholarships. The ceremony was held on May 7, and the Pathfinder awards were given to students who have demonstrated excellence in 18 academic, vocational and athletic categories. The nominees from Dreyfoos were:

“Even if I didn’t win [for the Communications category,] it was still such an honor to be nominated and represent Dreyfoos. I’m still going to the school of my dreams and I’m going to study what I love: journalism,” Pathfinder nominee and communications senior Josie Russo said. “Just going to the awards gave me so much hope for the future, seeing what all of these people can do.”

Taylor Rich, Head Copy Editor
Communications senior Taylor Rich is a third-year staffer and the Head Copy Editor of The Muse. Rich loves fast food, friends, and foreign policy. In her major, she focuses on journalism and debate. Rich is a captain of the Dreyfoos Speech and Debate Team and an avid competitor in Congressional Debate, where she travels across the nation to compete. Additionally, Rich is the president of ThinkPINK and encourages all of Dreyfoos to get involved and contribute to the club’s cause of promoting breast cancer awareness. Rich is looking forward to another spectacular year on The Muse and reaching out to the entire Dreyfoos community and learning as much as she can about its artistic environment.
