Black Student Union (BSU) hosted its first voter registration opportunity during lunch on Oct. 25. The event allowed students over the age of 16 to pre-register and register to vote, as well as participate in a mock election by voting for either old or new-school R&B music. 95 students registered to vote.
BSU secretary and communications senior Faustina Duvigneaud felt the event was significant.
“It’s really important that we get representation for our culture,” Duvigneaud said. “So, we encourage even anyone to come out, pre-register, and speak for our generation.”
