[L-R] Communications senior Kayla Kirshenbaum and theatre senior Nick Pollock admire The Bohemian, a magazine created by artist in residence Emmy Kenny and her partner CJ Riehl, in the GSA (Gender and Sexuality Alliance) meeting at lunch. "The magazine had two different lifespans. The first one we started as students to bridge the gap between students and [Kansas] city. After we discovered 'Riot grrrl' (a 1990's feminist punk movement) we reformatted the magazine to focus on social issues like gender and sexuality. We started all of this as a platform to help amplify the voices of marginalized groups."

Implementing positivity in people's lives encourages hope and optimism, and that is what we want more of in this school's atmosphere," said visual junior and First Priority member Alexis Smith.
