In Florida, we are lucky to “live where you vacation.” Inevitably, every one of our weekends is filled with beach getaways and sunny daze. For me, this Labor Day weekend was spent at The Boca Beach Resort. I got to lounge and be lazy at a private cabana with a picture perfect view of the beach and full food service (exactly what everyone needs while lounging in the sun.) It was the perfect remedy to the ever present stress that comes with college applications. I blasted “Prayer in C” by Robin Schulz & LILLYWOOD and “My Song 5 (feat. A$AP Ferg) [Remix]” by HAIM, chillaxed and soaked in some vitamin D.
As you’ll learn I love to try new foods, and restaurants. Every weekend brings a new chance to find delicious comfort foods or exotic plates from overseas. This weekend I tried out two new trendy restaurants on opposite ends of the county. One was a farm to table type place at the PGA Commons full of organic and healthy options. The other, at The Royal Palm Plaza in Boca Raton, featured authentic Indian cuisine, where I revisited my favorite Indian dish saag paneer. Needless to say, I had a few foodgasms.
But these three days also had their bittersweet calling, they marked the end of all fun things for the next two months which will be spent perfecting personal essays on personal style. Everything certainly looks brighter beyond Nov. 1. All the weight will be lifted off of my shoulders; my testing will be done and college applications will be sent and in fates hands. Exciting, I know.
Until then stay tuned as I muse, plan and share my future getaways, style tips and culinary finds with you!
xx
